TREE SELECTION AND SEARCH

When you deal with LaSalle Landscape Supply, we will spend the necessary time and effort with you personally, to ensure you select a variety, type, shape and size appropriate to your particular circumstances.

CONSIDERATIONS:

Tree function – why is the tree being planted?

Size and location of site – what size does the space lend itself to?

Soil condition – what kind of soil is on the site?

Special conditions- does the tree need to be tolerant of special conditions?

Form and shape – “form follows function” – basic shapes are pyramidal, full crowned, vase, fountain, spreading, layered, columnar and weeping

When choosing a tree, it is useful to think fast forward to the time when the tree reaches full maturity. You should not plant a tree that will become the wrong shape or size for the site within a short period of time, and then be faced with having to move it....or worse.

In advance of your visit our display area, if you want to research this subject a little more, our friends south of the border have an excellent tree search program which can be accessed at the direct link below.
